How can you actually start to make money using internet advertising, what steps do you take in order to get the best results?

It is rather easy to become disoriented with online marketing, with everyone and there brother telling you that this or that is the right way to earn. But how do you actually get started or improve your results?

Firstly, you need to understand that not everybody is right and when they are all telling you different things, how can they all be right..

Ask yourself how many of the great ideas that you have read about have you actually implemented? And just out of curiosity, did any of those programs or idea’s turn your online business around?

I have asked this question hundreds of times and the answer is always no. Don’t worry, you know there has to be the right answer and there is. Let’s just figure out where you are at right now.

For the beginners: Did you purchase your own domain name yet? Do you have a Website? Have you purchased an auto responder?

Started marketing online a short time ago: Did you even start to build your email list? How is your auto responder setup? Do you promote many different products, or the same one to the same list?

Advanced: Do you get many purchases from the people on your list? How is your search engine rank? How much money do you get back for every $100 spent on advertising? What money are you making each month?

There are so many other items that I could add to this list, but if your not happy with your answers so far whats the point?

If you want to improve your answers you need to figure out how well you are using the basics Do you think you are allotting enough time everyday to the important parts of your internet business. Are you blowing to much of your time on the next get rich quick program, or the latest “guaranteed” traffic program.

By the way, most of those super hot techniques rely on the basic stuff already being in place first to execute them properly.

If you are not happy because your internet business is not where you thought it be by now, then you need to take a step back, decide exactly what you should be working on every day and make sure to get it done.

So how do you prioritize your time? Start a journal of what you need to do and stick to it. This is not the coolest thing in the world to do but this is a great way to make sure your doing what you need to do, and this has worked for people for the last 2,000 years.

Sounds simple right, but are you willing to just do it?

Set aside time each day (or as you choose) to work on setting something up, whether it is setting up new email’s to be sent out in your auto responder so you are promoting more than 1 product, or better email’s to get people to take another look at your product again.

Have you website really leave an impression on your visitors, start using article marketing to help boost your search engine rank, leave links in blogs and forums every day, this builds back links and helps with your search engine rank.

Now all of these basic things will make you money. And when your start making money with the basics then you can start adding things one at a time and see if they improve your sales. Before you start with a new program ask yourself if the new program is something you can do everyday, if so give them a shot.

So set some goals in your diary and write down some activities that you will do to help achieve those goals, once this is done you can concentrate on improving and growing your own online business, instead of reading more email’s that promise you that you will get rich when you buy there program.

When you are making money these things become more enjoyable and you feel inspired to take it do the next level. So be kind to yourself, decide exactly what you want to do, decide when you are going to do it and then do it.
